“Thanks to all at the Saxon festival, we’re really appreciative for all your efforts as we can only imagine how hot it must have been for you all in costume, all day in the heatwave. My son (who’s 3 yrs old) absolutely loved it, he especially enjoyed playing around and making things with the clay activity which was set up for the young ones; and the battle displays the soldiers put on. We look forward to going again next year.” Chelsea

“Wonderful event.”

“Well done organisers! You hard work paid off and I only heard positive comments.” Gareth

26th November - Mayor of Wareham's Christmas Concert

Charity Fundraising event for the Mayor's chosen charity

Feedback...

‘A million thanks for your fabulous support for the Wareham Mayor’s Xmas Concert last night. Wareham was swimming in the rain yet every chair was taken and some people even standing. It is heart warming to realise the endless goodwill of Wareham and Purbeck folk in supporting the local ‘Allison Campbell Trust’, a local Charity supporting the less fortunate being faced with palliative care. This Charity is and aims to fill the gaps between NHS provision and personal input for those people in Purbeck faced with this situation. The Poole and Parkstone Singers were a great hit. We must thank all the local traders that kindly supported us in making this event so successful in such dire financial days. Xmas in Wareham has officially started folks! Your Council is even allowing free parking in Howards Lane Car Park for the 4 saturdays before Xmas. The compliments of the season to all – Your Town Mayor.’

‘The P&P Singers had a lovely evening performing at The Mayor of Wareham’s Christmas Concert, this year in aid of the Allison Campbell Trust – an important local charity supporting end of life care in the community throughout the Purbeck District.

‘We had a really great evening. A big thank you to everybody concerned. Hope it made loads of money!’ (comment from Facebook)
