Fundraising Evening for Ukraine at Wareham Town Hall


This event on the 26th March at Wareham Town Hall was intended as a fundraising evening for the Mayor’s chosen charities this year – The Wareham Scouts and Guides.However, given the unfolding tragedy in the Ukraine, Councillor Keith Green, Mayor of Wareham, with the support of the Scouts and Guides, has decided to donate all the profits from the concert via the Red Cross to the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal instead.The online sale of tickets will be live on Monday 14th March.

A Night to Remember is a fundraising event held in aid of the Mayor’s chosen charities for this year. Featuring the Bovington Military Wives Choir and Clair Timms Vocalist and Comic. Interval refreshments by The Italian Bakery including savory sausage rolls and a selection of delicious sweet treats.

The Bovington Military Wives Choir aims to bring women in the Bovington military community closer together through singing. With 72 choirs and nearly 2,000 members in British military bases across the UK and overseas, the Military Wives Choirs is a charity that brings all women in the military community closer together and empowers them through singing.

Claire Timm performing in Wareham for the Ukraine Fundraising Evening

Claire performs a wide range of songs ranging from Big Band Hits, country, Rock N Roll, 70’s and disco hits right through the the modern chart hits.

Everything is played with a delightful “tongue-in-cheek” humour. Her two completely different 45 minute shows combine a balanced mixture of strong vocals with comedy and audience participation.

Having successfully completed her degree in Performing Arts, Claire moved into Production Shows, Pantomime and Musicals. She has also worked extensively for Thomson Holidays at their resorts in Spain, Portugal and Maderia.


Doors open at 6.45 pm for 7:00 pm start.
