Visit Wareham, A town for all seasons!

Wareham History Walk

With Wareham Carnival!

Bob Dean from Wareham Town Musuem will lead an early evening walk around Wareham’s historic town. Taking in part of the Saxon Walls, two churches – St Marys and St Martins, an explanation of the now lost castle as well as an insight into some of the events through Wareham’s history the walk will provide us with a picture of town life though the past 1500 years!

Start at Howards Lane Car park, behind the Duke of Wellington Pub, East Street at 7 pm.
Wear sensible shoes, some parts of the walk may involve being on the town walls where access is difficult and steep. Not suitable for wheelchair users. Walk time 1.5 – 2 hours.
Booking advisable: Call 01929 550818
£3.00 donation per person would be appreciated (For Wareham Carnival).
