Dorset Beacon at Durlston Castle
Thursday 2nd June 2022, starting at 8.15pm. Spectators of the lighting of the Beacon, could take a picnic and enjoy the evening before the lighting. Hot & cold drinks will be available reasonably priced.
Swanage Street Party
The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Street Party will be held in The Lower High Street and Prince Albert Gardens on the 3rd June. For up to date information, go to the The Platinum Jubilee Swanage Celebrates Facebook page.
Tickets to join the Street Party are now sold out. This doesn’t mean you can’t join in with the celebrations though, please bring a picnic or enjoy a delicious pizza from our caterer, plus tea, coffee, soft drink, cake and fresh fruit will be available, of course a refreshing glass of Pimms can be enjoyed by over 18’s, all on Prince Albert Gardens.
Prince Albert Gardens will host stalls, bands and other events during the day including music from Salamanda Swing Band, Kelp! Shanty Men and more. Bring a picnic and enjoy the entertainment. Includes…
10:15am – Platinum Fancy Dress – Children’s fancy dress to reflect an era from the Queen’s reign.
2pm – Decorated Cake Competition hosted by Swanage W.I.

Purbeck Pirate Festival
The annual Purbeck Pirate Festival will be held on Sandpit Field on from Friday 3rd June to Sunday 5th June. Sword fighting, musket and cannon fire, beach skirmishes, Kid’s Pirate Disco, Mermaids, treasure hunts, stone carving, kid’s games, the Pirate Pub Crawl, the Pirate Surgeon, the Wimborne Militia, Jax Parrow and much, much more!
