RSPB Arne: Nightjar walk with supper

Experience one of our most mysterious heathland inhabitants
Nightjars at Arne
These highly anticipated walks are back! There’s nothing quite like the unforgettable and unmistakable ‘churring’ call of the nightjar… Named in folklore as the goat sucker, corpse-fowl and scissor grinder – peculiar names for a bird with an unusual ‘song’ and strange nocturnal habits.
Join us to experience one of our most mysterious heathland inhabitants! This an exclusive opportunity to listen for the iconic ‘churring’, take in the sights and sounds of the reserve by night, all after a delicious meal cooked by Arne’s wonderful café team.
The evening will start from 7pm with a two-course meal provided by the RSPB Arne café, followed by a 2hour guided walk starting at 8:30pm.
Both the café and garden will be available to eat your meal, including covered outside seating.
The main course will be a meat, vegetarian or vegan option, selected from our café menu, featuring delicious seasonal and locally sourced produce. Followed by an award-winning Purbeck ice cream and served with a tea, filter coffee or a cold drink from a selection.
We can cater for dietary requirements – please let us know during the booking process.
Tickets: 31.50 adult / 18.00 child
