This talk tells some of the fascinating stories of those awaiting imprisonment or the gallows. A wonderful talk by local historian and author Brian Bates. As the assizes town for the county, Dorchester Gaol held those accused of all kind of crimes, from pickpockets to murderers. This talk tells of the fascinating stories of those awaiting imprisonment or the gallows.
All talks will be at the Furzbrook Village Hall starting at 7.30pm. The hall is spacious and has plenty of car parking.
Prices: Visitors are welcome! Tickets £3.00.
Existing members: from March 2020 entry will be free until September 2022 but donations welcome. New members from December 2021 – September 2022 only £5.00
